Black Friday 2026 UK: picks worth watching

A short watchlist of brand-name chargers, earbuds, heaters, dehumidifiers, puffers and slippers that are worth tracking before Black Friday — with today’s guide price as your baseline, so you can tell a real drop from a fake one.

Verdict

Decide what you actually need now, write down today's price, and only buy on Black Friday if it genuinely drops below that. The picks below are brand-name, everyday items that often get promoted in November — we are not promising they will be discounted, and we show today's guide price, not a sale price.

Who it's for

UK shoppers who want to use Black Friday for things already on the list — a better charger, earbuds, a heater or dehumidifier for a cold or damp room, a winter coat, slippers — without getting swept up in countdown timers.

Why now

Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November, and big UK retailers usually start promotions well before the Friday itself. Building a watchlist in October gives you weeks of normal prices to compare against, which is the only reliable way to judge a deal.

How to use this Black Friday watchlist

A deal is only a deal relative to what you would have paid anyway. So the most useful thing a Black Friday list can give you is a baseline. Each pick below shows its catalogue guide price as of the “Updated” date at the top of this page. Note it down (or screenshot the card), then compare it with what the merchant shows in late November. If the drop is small, or the price is the same with a louder banner, walk away.

For Amazon UK listings, free price-history trackers such as CamelCamelCamel and Keepa show how a product's price has moved over months, and can email you when it falls below a target you set. For eBay, compare a few sellers of the same item and check postage — a low headline price with £6 delivery is not a bargain.

What is on the list, and why

Charging and audio. GaN chargers, Soundcore speakers and TOZO earbuds are the kind of everyday tech that regularly appears in seasonal promotions. They are also low-risk buys: you know whether you need a faster USB-C plug or a spare pair of earbuds, and nobody regrets a charger that works. If you are buying for a laptop, check its wattage first: a 65W GaN plug can charge most USB-C laptops and a phone from one socket.

Heating and damp. A Russell Hobbs ceramic heater or oil-filled radiator, a heated throw and a compact dehumidifier are all worth watching if you have one room that never warms up or a bedroom with condensation on the windows. Before you buy any heater, read our warmth without wrecking the bill guide: warming yourself with a throw usually costs far less to run than warming the air in a whole room. Our home heaters guide covers the main heater types.

Coats and slippers. Amazon Essentials puffers and Dunlop memory-foam slippers are straightforward winter staples. Sizes and colours sell out first in sales, so if you are waiting for a discount, add your size to your basket early and be ready to buy at full price if it is about to go. See coats under £60 and slippers & nightwear under £25 for more options.

Gifts. Black Friday is a sensible time to tick off Christmas presents if you already know what you are getting. Our gifts for him under £50 and gifts for her under £50 guides are built for exactly that.

Black Friday traps to avoid

Inflated “was” prices. Consumer group Which? has repeatedly found that most products it tracked in Black Friday sales were the same price or cheaper at some other point in the surrounding months. A big percentage off a reference price nobody actually paid means nothing.

Countdown pressure. Timers and “almost gone” bars are there to stop you comparing. If the item was not on your list before the timer appeared, it probably does not need to be in your basket now.

Who is actually selling. On Amazon, check “Dispatched from” and “Sold by” — marketplace sellers can have different returns and delivery times. On eBay, check the seller's feedback, location and returns policy, and whether a listing is Buy It Now or an auction.

Your rights if a sale buy goes wrong

Sale items bought online from UK traders have the same protection as full-price ones. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you normally have 14 days after delivery to cancel most online purchases for any reason, and under the Consumer Rights Act goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Buying from private sellers on marketplaces gives you fewer rights, so read the listing carefully.

The picks below are navigational finds, not lab-tested rankings, and the prices shown are today's guide prices rather than Black Friday prices. We will re-check this list as November approaches.
